This is a brand new and exciting role for the right candidate to come and work in the Accreditation Team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in the delivery of the Sussex Partnership internal Accreditation programme.
Accreditation is a new and exciting programme in SPFT, which will be a process to support teams to self assess against standards around culture of involvement, and the use of service user and carer experience and feedback to improve the quality of our services.
The successful candidate will provide project support in the development, coordination and roll out of this programme.
You will work alongside teams undertaking accreditation in a coaching capacity, supporting services in an initial gap analysis, supporting teams to identify opportunities for learning and improvement and developing action plans and a portfolio of evidence to reach the accreditation standards.
You engage services and develop plans to support the initial pilot stage of this project and then the roll out across the Trust.
Accreditation will be open to all teams in the Trust - clinical and non clinical.
This is an exciting opportunity to work with a wide range of services and people on a new development within SPFT supporting the teams ongoing work on ensuring we are delivering teh best possible care and understanding how we are doing by listening to peoples experience.
Main duties of the job
- Applying programme management, project management, quality improvement and best practice tools and techniques to support the development of the Accreditation programme including the initial pilot project.
- Provide coaching to teams undertaking Accreditation to provide support and coaching with the process.
- Provide coordination of and participate in relevant internal and external working/steering groups and provide project advice, expertise and support where required.

You will be required to work alongside operational staff in a busy, complex and pressured environment and will need to have excellent communication skills and a good understanding of NHS services.
At Sussex Partnership Trust we are committed to co-production and working alongside people with lived experience of our services and this project work involves co-production and working alongside teams, services users and carers together in order to produce a programme that meets, acknowledges, and learns from the experience of those that use our services.
This role would suit someone with lived experience of mental health services but is not essential.

Work closely with the Head of Accreditation applying programme management, project management, quality improvement and best practice tools and techniques to support the development of the Accreditation programme.
Work alongside teams undertaking Accreditation to provide support and coaching with the process.
Support the development of a Pilot project to review and test the initial accreditation plan.
Be required to develop and maintain constructive and supportive working relationships with a broad range of teams operating in complex and pressured environments, supporting teams to make meaningful changes whilst understanding the challenges and barriers to implementing new ways of working.
Manage multiple, changing, complex pressures and be able to work independently, managing their own workload.
