Job summary

Brunswick ward at Mill View Hospitalis looking for UK registered mental health and general nurses to join theirteam (International nurse applicants should apply to join via the Trust's dedicated International nurse programme).

Mill View hospital has a hospital place of safety and five wards, one of which is Brunswick ward, a 15 bedded, mixed gender dementia inpatient unit located in the vibrant city of Brighton and Hove.

We are looking for both RMN's and RGN's, who, as valued member of the team, will work alongside an established and experienced multi-disciplinary team to plan and deliver outstanding care to those living with dementia and who are admitted with an acute phase of the illness. We are looking for enthusiastic and dynamic team players who are passionate about developing our service and working within a dementia care setting.

Main duties of the job

Brunswick ward is a 15 bedded, mixed sex dementia inpatient ward. It is located in the heart of Hove, only a short journey from Brighton City Centre.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a nurse to join our team on Brunswick ward. We are looking for both RMN's and RGN's. As a member of the team you will work alongside an established and experienced multi-disciplinary team to plan and deliver outstanding care to those living with dementia who are presenting with an acute phase of the illness. We are looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic team player who is passionate about developing our service and working within a dementia care setting.

You will receive support from an experienced team, regular supervision, team away days every 6 months, and have access to training and development opportunities to enhance your role, and to create experiences to enrich your journey as a nurse. The successful candidate will receive a comprehensive induction to the hospital and the Trust.

The successful candidate will receive a comprehensive induction to the hospital and the Trust.

If you are a newly qualified nurse, you would be supported to attend our Trust preceptorship academy, or if you are more experienced we have a Band 6 development course available. In addition we have weekly bite sized training for nurses, hold daily hospital safety huddles and we are quite unique in that we have a senior nurse (B6 or B7 out of the numbers) on duty 24 hours a day to provide additional support and leadership to our nursing teams.
