We currently have positions for Band 5 nurses across our hospital, so if you're not 100% sure which ward you would prefer to work on, that's fine, all you have to do is apply once and we'll match you to the team that best fits you, or alternatively we can provide a rotation across our inpatient wards, giving you a broad range of experience within our service.

Additionally, if you are a newly qualified nurse, our Preceptorship Academy will help to give you the very best start in your transition from Student to Registered Nurse.

Main duties of the job

Working within a supportive clinically led team, you will have the opportunity to really work in partnership with patients - engaging, supporting and developing a relationship which really enables the recovery process. With a real commitment to improving care delivery, as part of our team you will be supporting quality improvements and initiatives that will enhance the patient experience.

Our vision is to provide outstanding care and treatment you can be confident in. To achieve the highest standards we have already embarked on a programme to transform the culture of the Trust to one of continuous improvement, delivered through participation of all staff and with service users, carers and families at the heart of our efforts.

About us

We are committed to investing in our staff in order to provide you with further training and development to enhance leadership skills. To help our staff thrive in their roles we offer regular, good quality supervision, appraisals, in-depth training and development opportunities. On the wards there is regular reflective practice, bitesize training sessions and team 'huddles', all with the focus to develop and support our staff.

As a Trust we make a positive difference to thousands of people's lives across Sussex and Hampshire, providing support so that they can fulfil their potential and enjoy healthy lives. We believe that staff who feel valued by the Trust and are truly engaged in the organisation deliver better outcomes for our patients and we are always looking for people with the right core values to join our team. The Trust is clinician-led, and provides the highest possible level of clinical expertise throughout its services.
