About us
Heads On is Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust's official NHS charity. Sussex Partnership provides mental health care and learning disability services across Sussex, specialist children's mental health services in Sussex and Hampshire and dementia services across Sussex.
The Covid-19 pandemic has transformed the role of NHS charities, shining a spotlight on the work we do to enhance NHS care. At the same time; we have never been more needed and want to do our very best to support our local communities. Heads On's strategic focus for 2021-2025 is working to address health inequalities faced by people across Sussex, particularly people with mental health problems, learning disabilities and neurodivergent conditions.
In 2020 Heads On took on the role of lead charity in Sussex for the management of Stage 2 NHS Charities Together funding - community partnerships, and in 2022 we will launch a Voluntary Sector grants programme on behalf of the Sussex Health & Care Partnership's Mental Health Collaborative.
Our internal grant making supports projects across SPFT that directly improve patient care across all services, and enhance staff wellbeing - more important now than ever.
This is a unique time to join us, as we build on our strong foundations to make a real difference in how people's health is supported during the pandemic and beyond, across the healthcare system in Sussex.
