Job summary

The Department of Psychiatry is part of Eastbourne's District General Hospital and has three inpatient wards for adults with mental health problems. Heathfield ward; an integrated ward people for older people or those with additional physical and wellbeing needs, Amberley Ward; a ward for women with some shared bays and some individual rooms, and Bodiam Ward; an 18 bed ward for men, comprised of shared bays and some individual rooms.

We currently have positions for Band 6 charge nurses with mental health experience across our hospital, so if you're not 100% sure which ward you would prefer to work on, that's fine, all you have to do is apply once and we'll match you to the team that best fits you.

Main duties of the job

Working within a supportive clinically led team, you will have the opportunity to really work in partnership with patients - engaging, supporting and developing a relationship which really enables the recovery process.
