Main duties of the job
We are looking for someone who is keen to develop themselves and gain experience within the Urgent Care Service alongside a diverse range of experienced professionals. We need practitioners to support our team in developing excellent relationships with the emergency services who refer people to us. The team is searching for someone who is a skilled communicator, empathetic, and able to facilitate inclusive and collaborative crisis assessments to those service leaders accessing The Haven.

All your skills and training will be fully utilised and developed through clinical supervision and training opportunities. We offer a two week induction which gives you the opportunity to spend time working with different teams including Crisis Resolution Teams and A&E Liaison to offer you a better understanding of how services fit into the community around us.

- Prioritising and responding to the needs of individuals presenting to the Urgent Care Service under supervision.
- Utilising your clinical skills and judgement to complete psychosocial assessments, risk assessments, and formulate a plan of care with support from senior team members.
- Developing and demonstrating an understanding of clinical interventions relevant to the care group, to include education, care plans and discharge planning
- Working compassionately and creatively to identify therapeutic and evidence-based outcomes, care plans for people who are experiencing a crisis.
- Contribute to developing bespoke crisis plans and work closely with our inpatient and community mental health teams.
- Work closely with carers, families and partner agencies to facilitate and promote safety and well-being of service users and their families/carers.
- Supervising Urgent Care Support Worker team members to aid in their development.
