Job summary
An exciting opportunity for a CBT therapist wishing to expand their CBT experience into Higher Education working on innovative new courses at the University of Sussex.
We are looking for an accredited Cognitive Behavioural therapist / Chartered Psychologist with experience of working with Children and Young people with an interest in developing further skills in teaching and supervision. You will have the opportunity to prepare, deliver and evaluate training on the Sussex University Post Graduate Therapeutic Courses, which include the Post Graduate Certificate Children's Wellbeing Practitioner (CWP), the Post Graduate Diploma in Education and Mental Health Practice (EMHP),PG Certificate in Supervision of Therapeutic Practice. You will also have access to CBT CPD opportunities. You will have a core profession or the equivalent, be BABCP accredited and have significant experience of working with Children and Young People. You may have had some teaching experience but this is not essential. You would be an experienced supervisor and be keen to develop your skills further.
You will be based within Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust Psychology and Psychological Therapies directorate and work at the University of Sussex.
Main duties of the job
To work as a member of the therapeutic courses team, providing leadership and high quality, support to the provision of Therapeutic Practice Training at Masters Level.
To support psychological practice within the team, primarily by facilitating reflective practice groups, and through consultation, supervision, formulation and training /education. To participate in systematic clinical governance and to offer clinical supervision to assistant, trainee and more junior CBT and students. To utilise research skills for audit, service development and research within the area served by the team/service.
