An exciting opportunity has arisen for a qualified Occupational Therapist to develop their skills working in a dynamic and creative Early Intervention in Psychosis (EIP) service.

The Worthing Early Intervention for Psychosis is a well-resourced team of talented individuals, offering a wide range of specialisms. We are looking for a highly motivated qualified Occupational Therapist to join our team on a permanent basis. This is a diverse and challenging role which requires an enthusiastic and dedicated person.

Main duties of the job

The successful applicant willwork with the team manager and clinical colleagues in order to develop and co-ordinate an effective pathway of recovery for acaseload of service users, families and carers. You will be collaboratively creating treatment plans for people with complex presentations whilst working as part of a multi-disciplinary team.

You will need to have previous health or social care experience working with clients with complex mental health problems, and a real commitment to the principles of EIP and this client group.

The service offers support and treatment to people aged 14 - 65 who have experienced either a first episode of psychosis or present with an At Risk Mental State. Practitioners in the team are passionate about their work, and are committed to supporting families and working in a psychologically informed way.

About us

The AAW EIP team is one of 6 Early Intervention in Psychosis teams provided by the Trust. The teams have a single service-wide governance group which oversees and leads on the delivery of care. Organizationally, the teams sit within the Trust's Children and Young People's Services division.

You will be provided with individual clinical supervision, group supervision for family interventions and opportunities to link with other Occupational Therapists both within EIP and other services for peer support and professional development. You will have opportunities to develop your special interests and expertise in line with service and team objectives, and will be supported in your continuing professional development and in building skills relevant to your career development.
