Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the CAMHS Hampshire Eating Disorder Team.

We have created an amazing opportunity for a nurse to join our team supporting our Duty, Triage and Assessments. The role offers the opportunity to support the triage pathway of a multi disciplinary team offering family based treatment to patients and families within Hampshire as well as developing links with our Paediatric Liaison Pathway.

It is essential we support patients and families at their first point of contact with the service, experience of risk assessment, triage and ability to review observations is essential, although training and development opportunities will be provided for the right candidate. It is an exciting time to join us and embed new developments.

We offer the opportunity for virtual and patient facing delivery across the County.

We are looking for a highly motivated practitioners; preferably with experience of working with young people but experience with young adults or adults with eating disorders also relevant.

We welcome applications from practitioners who are highly motivated, enthusiastic, creative, flexible and resourceful and would be pleased to have discussion regarding the roles.

No one day will be the same and staff describe the service as well led with opportunity for training and professional development.

Main duties of the job

Supporting our DUTY pathway, reviewing referrals and offering triage assessment, identification of risk using the Junior Marsipan Risk Assessment Tool.

Completion of assessment as part of a multi disciplinary team, providing advice to meal planning and completing initial care plans and treatment.

The post holder will work at all times to promote the safety and the well being of patients and their families/carers. The post holder will assess, plan and implement care, and provide specialist nursing advice and carry out specialist nursing procedures, if required.

Excellent team working will be an essential component to the post. The role will identify and deliver relevant treatments and interventions; liaising where appropriate with families, carers and the professional network. Candidates should be able to demonstrate a good level of initiative.

  • Completion of Mentorship Course/ENB equivalent
  • Evidence of continuous professional development

Knowledge/Experience

  • Experience of supervising staff
  • Experience of providing a range of clinical interventions to people in the designated care group with a variety of health problems
  • Experience of working consultatively with professionals
  • Experience of conducting clinical assessments including risk assessments
