Job summary

The Digital Team is a new team in Hampshire CAMHS. We are friendly, supportive and inclusive, and offer a positive environment within which to continue (or start!) your CAMHS journey.

We work countywide with children and young people who have had the longest waits in our service. Our focus is on those who are waiting for ADHD assessment, or requiring interventions for low mood and anxiety.

We are recruiting experienced B6 Mental Health Nurses and/or Practitioners, with 1.8 WTE positions available (i.e. full or part-time), and would be happy to receive applications from clinicians with interests specifically in neurodevelopmental assessments or low mood and anxiety interventions, as well as from those eager to work across the range of pathways and presenting difficulties.

You will be familiar with working both virtually and face to face, and will be excited by the prospect of using digital technology to support your practice. We use Minddistrict (an ehealth platform) which acts as an adjunct to therapy, as well as supporting psycho-education and the use of Routine Outcome Measures.

You will bring a broad range of skills and experience to the team (preferably from CAMHS), and will have previously supervised colleagues.

Our permanent team base will be in Eastleigh, although currently colleagues mainly work from home or from clinics across the county, depending on where young people need to be seen.

There is a requirement to travel county-wide for this role.

Main duties of the job

You will:

- deliver high-quality mental health interventions to a caseload of young people and families in partnership with colleagues in the Hampshire CAMHS Digital Team MDT and the wider service

- have experience of managing risk, and be able to demonstrate good initiative and the ability to work across a range of presenting needs

- be an excellent communicator, with the skill to liaise closely with other teams and external agencies, advocating for the needs of those children and families you are working with

- support the ongoing development of the Minddistrict ehealth platform and contribute to practice-based evidence in this field

- offer supervision and leadership to other colleagues in the team

- work to develop the team and its clinical offer in line with the needs of the wider service

This post offers a Golden Hello, or a Relocation package up to a maximum of £2000. (pro rata applies and subject to terms and conditions. Please see attached Protocol document).

About us

This is a great time to join Hampshire CAMHS which is undergoing significant expansion across all areas of the service.

We have a strong clinical and managerial leadership structure, committed to staff wellbeing and professional development.

Nursing and Allied Health Professional colleagues are supported with a robust induction programme, regular clinical and line management supervision, as well access to a comprehensive range of development opportunities both within the service and the wider Trust. Development opportunities are regularly available, with colleagues able to progress within the organisation.

To protect the health and safety of our staff/workers, patients, and those attending our sites, we encourage our workforce to get fully vaccinated against COVID
