Early Help North Hampshire CAMHs has an exciting opportunity for a Band 3 Senior Healthcare Support Worker Apprentice to join our team.

You will be part of a team of qualified mental health practitioners from variable clinical backgrounds offering interventions via our stepped pathway of care.
The Senior Healthcare Support Worker Level 3 is an occupational qualification for learners who work in healthcare support roles supporting the mental health provision.
Following completion of the course and End-Point Assessment (EPA) staff members will have the desired skills, knowledge and behaviours to apply for further apprenticeship opportunities such as a Nursing Associate, Occupational Therapist or Social Worker.

Main duties of the job
To work with other members of the multidisciplinary team to facilitate the development and delivery of the CAMHS Early Help Service - Single Point of Access, Group work, school-based interventions.
Assist with the design, planning and delivery of a range of prescribed therapeutic programmes to groups of patients/clients within an overall care package.
Assess, evaluate and report on patient/client responses to prescribed therapeutic Programmes. This includes: analysis of referral information, information gathering and telephone contact to determine risk and inform a multidisciplinary formulation, liaison with families and clinicians, compilation of data and report writing, supporting and enhancing the delivery of therapeutic intervention alongside clinicians

To work under close clinical supervision from a registered professional to provide high quality care as a member of the multi-disciplinary team, informed by skills in communication, analysis of information, planning and organisational skill
To work under the guidance of the clinical team in the delivery of clinical interventions
Under the supervision of the clinical team, facilitate and participate in planned group work, individual activities and ongoing continuous assessment with supervision.
To provide comprehensive and efficient support to the clinicians and multi-disciplinary team; this will include dealing with a range of aspects of patient work, in conjunction with the team, including updating records, discharge summaries, dealing with telephone enquiries from service users, GPs and other professionals.
Ensure that service user related information is updated as required on relevant trust systems and that all documents, correspondence, results are filed in the correct sections of the medical case notes.
To be responsible for initiating and sending out routine correspondence and a variety of self-help information.
Assist with the preparation and delivery of workshop materials
Ensure that all service user information is handled in a confidential manner, in line with the relevant policies.
To liaise with GPs, mental health services, voluntary service agencies, social services, police and other appropriate agencies or individuals with regard to service user issues.
