Job summary
New Forest CAMHS are seeking to recruit dynamic and innovative mental health nurses to join our experienced and motivated team to work with children, young people and their families presenting with significant mental health disorders. The ideal candidates will be mental health nurses who have had either community care coordinator roles within mental health teams and/or experience of working with children and young people.

Main duties of the job
You will use your knowledge, experience and skills to join the multidisciplinary team to undertake high quality mental health and clinical risk assessments, and deliver therapeutic evidenced based interventions both individually and as a group facilitator. You will also support neurodevelopmental assessments and monitoring within the ADHD clinic.
You will Care Coordinate a caseload, to offer therapeutic engagement to stabilise and reduce risk in acute presentations, and liaise with professional networks to improve outcomes and access to support outside of CAMHS.
You will be support the duty rota and will be confident to manage clinical calls into service, and you will be competent to complete prioritised reviews and liaise with clinicians from other teams within Hampshire CAMHS, as well as partner agencies, including children services and schools to encourage collaborative working to provide support around a child or young person.
This role also holds the expectation to clinically supervise junior staff and act as a practice supervisor or assessor to nursing students on placement with us.

You will be supported to undertake training to support your revalidation and continued professional development needs, and will engage in regular line management and clinical supervision separately.
