Job summary
Hampshire County Council's Children's Services department has been chosen as one of seven local authorities to be a Partner in Practice (PiP)by the Department for Education (DFE). They are developing new approaches to transform children's social care to deliver better outcomes for children and their families in Hampshire. As part of this a number of new teams have been set up which will are multi-agency in nature and really focus in on a number of priority strands including those children on child in need and child protection plans to avoid coming into care, repeat care proceedings as well as better outcomes for careleavers.
We know that the 'trigger trio' of parental ill health, substance misuse and domestic abuse features highly in all of these cases and we also know that for children living in these circumstances there is a significant detrimental impact on children's mental health. Therefore there is an exciting opportunity for specialist children's mental health staff to be part of these new multi-disciplinary teams.
Main duties of the job
Though employed by the local CAMHS team in Hampshire these new roles will also be part of the new social care teams where the role will be to undertake direct work as well as supporting other professionals with both consultation and training.
Covid-19 full vaccination is a condition of employment for this role, unless an exemption applies. The successful applicant may have contact with vulnerable service users and we will therefore seek proof of being fully vaccinated during the recruitment process.
About us
This is an exciting opportunity for any candidate who wants to be part of an ambitious and energetic organisation and has a focus on empowering individuals and ensuring the very best clinical and individual recovery outcomes. Furthermore, you would be joining a very supportive and passionate team who focus on working together to deliver the best possible care and treatment to the families we work with.
By coming to work at Hampshire CAMHS you would be joining Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust which has a national reputation for research, where services recognise that research underpins its commitment to providing high quality and innovative clinical care.
