Job summary
As a Senior Assessment Practitioner in our service you will be working as part of a Multi-disciplinary team (MDT) including social workers, psychologists, nurses, occupational therapists and medics. You will work with people with severe and enduring mental health problems, providing specialist interventions. We encourage knowledge sharing and teamwork so all team members are involved with the full range of best practice interventions. You will benefit from regular caseload reviews and we are currently developing family interventions within our service, with plenty of opportunities for you to become involved.

Main duties of the job
- To take a lead on clinical matters relating to practice.
- To provide clinical leadership.
- To be part of recruitment and selection process of staff.
- To be aware of care group and Trust policies and protocols within nursing and Nursing Strategy.
- To develop and participate in the delivery of a supervision structure for team members.
- To monitor the caseload and practice of staff and others in Team.
- To be part of a Team Leadership for ongoing support and development.
- To take a lead on audits within the team.

Set on the outskirts of Crawley, our Community Mental Health Assessment and Treatment team is superbly located for access via public transport and by car. We work with adults living with mental illness, supporting their recovery and the development of skills and strategies to support them to maintain their wellbeing. We are a lively and friendly team where you will be offered plenty of support along with mentorship and supervision from senior colleagues, active management support and the chance to undertake training courses relevant to your professional practice.
