Job summary
The Graduate Mental Health Training Programme is a joint venture between Higher Education and the NHS. The GMHP roles are intended to support existing roles, and are trans-disciplinary, informed by bio-psychosocial models of health care for people with severe and complex mental health difficulties.
Graduate Mental Health Practitioners help provide outstanding care and treatment, co-ordinate care provided, support people with their recovery journey, offer time limited interventions, monitor risks, and collaborate with carers and families.

Main duties of the job
The successful applicant will join a friendly, highly skilled, and enthusiastic team comprising consultant psychiatrists, community mental health nurses, occupational therapists, practitioner psychologists; support & peer workers. You will be working with adults in the Hastings ATS providing high quality mental health care, with multi-disciplinary colleagues, where staff well-being is a high priority.

Hastings & Rother Assessment and Treatment Service is a multi-disciplinary service for adults with complex mental health problems. Our work is challenging, but we receive regular positive feedback from our service users and carers.

- Bachelors degree at 2:2 or above supplemented by specialist mental health training with a significant supervised practice component and a curriculum including risk assessment, evidence based psychosocial interventions, recovery and treatment planning, and team working
- A specialist mental health focused postgraduate degree which delivers competences in recognised evidence-based psychological interventions
- Evidence of a commitment to lifelong learning
