Applicants will specialise in supporting service users who have experienced complex psychosis, treatment resistant psychosis, or a related significant mental illness as described within the NICE guidelines for Rehabilitation. The successful candidates will contribute towards the development of evidence based and recovery focused interventions to maximise an individual's independence and enable people to lead fulfilling lives.

We are looking for a Mental Health Nurse who is passionate about change and development. It is advantageous for applicants to have experience of working with people with severe and enduring mental health problems, and we would also welcome those with some experience of working with older adults, as the service is for adults of all ages.

The service will operate over 7-days, with weekend cover being arranged via a rota system. This post is for 37.5 hours a week and we are open to discussing flexible working requirements to ensure we best support both the recruitment and future retention of our staff.

Main duties of the job

The Inpatient Rehabilitation Service is exciting and innovative service in West Sussex. In line with our Trust value of 'People First', evidence shows that people who are treated in the community and in the least restrictive way have better outcomes. In this role you will work collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary team, to help us to provide this opportunity for the communities of West Sussex in line with national agendas of 'Getting It Right First Time' to have access to a whole system approach to recovery from mental ill health, maximising an individual's quality of life and social inclusion.

This post offers a Golden Hello, or a Relocation package up to a maximum of £2000. (pro rata applies and subject to terms and conditions. Please see attached Protocol document).
