Job summary

If so, our Band 6 Occupational Therapist role in our East Brighton Assessment and Treatment team may be the job for you!

Based at East Brighton Community Mental Health Centre, our Community Assessment and Treatment Service (ATS) team is seeking to recruit a highly motivated, enthusiastic, creative, flexible and skilled Band 6 Occupational Therapist with a passion for working with people to support individual recovery goals and work collaboratively with the service users, their carers/families, colleagues within the third sector, GPs and other services within the Trust. You will preferably have experience of working in the community and in various settings within mental health services.

Main duties of the job

You will have a varied, fast paced and crucial role in supporting patient journey through the Assessment and Treatment Team. Your duties will involve assessing service users for treatment including risk assessment, care planning and treatment. You will hold a caseload providing time limited interventions as identified in the care plan and in supporting them to access services and treatments within SPFT and third sector services. Promote community recovery, wellbeing and enablement to improve quality of life, prevent and reduce hospital admissions.

You will also be responsible for delivering Occupational Therapy interventions in the team to enable service users to participate in meaningful occupations and activities in everyday life.
