Job summary
Led by Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust, Health in Mind provide a community-based range of evidence based therapeutic and clinical interventions to support adults with mild to moderate mental health needs. Based in the community and located primarily within SPFT venues and GP Practices, our service provides Increasing Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT) at Step 2 and Step 3. We receive referrals from a number of routes including self-referrals and by General Practitioners.
Health in Mind, an IAPT service covering East Sussex, are looking to recruit to our cohort of trainee CBT Therapist positions, to start in April 2022, in partnership with Canterbury Christ Church University. We are specifically looking to recruit to positions in Eastbourne and Hastings. Please note that you will be expected to attend lectures in person in the Tunbridge Wells campus, as well as working on-site in one of our services.
Main duties of the job
You will form a key part of our established team, providing assessment and treatment to individuals referred to our service. Candidates will be applying for the one year full-time Postgraduate Diploma in Psychological Therapies (CBT) based at Canterbury Christ Church University, Tunbridge Wells campus at the Salomons Institute for Applied Psychology. Successful candidates will be trained by the University, 2 days per week, to deliver evidence-based psychological therapies for people with anxiety and depression. You will then be in service for the remaining 3 days a week delivering treatments to Health in Mind service users.
