Job summary
We are looking for an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our newly formed team, focusing on reducing Out of Area Placements and improving internal bed flow. In line with our Trust values of People First, evidence shows that people who are treated nearer home and in the least restrictive manner, have better outcomes. We want to provide this for all of the people of Sussex. Much work has been undertaken to reduce the level of Out of Area Placements and we are seeking to continue improvements by establishing dedicated resource to manage occupancy and flow.
Flexible working may be required to cover weekends
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team and within Adult and Older Adult Services, to deliver project aims. You will set the highest standards, drawing on your skills to develop and deliver strategies to achieve desired outcomes. This is a 12-month post with the option to extend for a further 12 months.
