Job summary
The post holder will provide a qualified specialist psychological therapy service for anxiety and depression to clients from the NHS Talking Therapies service. This involves providing specialist psychological assessment and therapy, within one or more psychological therapy models specified by the NHS Talking Therapies for anxiety and depression Manual.
They will provide advice and consultation on clients' psychological care to colleagues and to other, non-professional carers.
The post holder will be expected to work flexibly across our community facilities. they will need to evidence they have the ability to meet the travel requirements needed for travel within the community.
This fixed term contract is to cover maternity leave within the team.
Main duties of the job
- To work autonomously within professional guidelines and the overall framework of team policies and procedure.
- To deliver NHS talking therapies CBT in accordance with NICE guidelines, within agreed activity levels and models, meeting required key performance indicators (KPIs).
- To deliver Clinical supervision
- To promote wellbeing and social inclusion.
- To work flexibly and in accordance with service demands.
- To work to the agreed number of clinical contacts per week as set by the by the service
- To utilise research skills for audit policy and service development and research within the areas served by the team.
- To deliver and support the delivery of CBT within agreed activity levels and agreed models.

- Formally recognised Cognitive Behaviour Therapy Post Graduate Level 7 (Master's Level) diploma
- Accreditation with BABCP
- Professional qualification in health or social care, e.g. RMN or Social Worker OR KSA equivalence
Desirable
- Master's Degree in relevant subject or equivalent knowledge & experience
Knowledge

- Extensive theoretical and clinical knowledge of the theory and practice of Cognitive Behaviour Therapy in specific difficult to treat groups (e.g. personality disorder, dual diagnoses, people with additional disabilities etc.). and disorder specific models
- Well-developed skills in the ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing, complex, highly technical and/or clinically sensitive information to clients, their families, carers and other professional colleagues both within and outside the NHS.
- Knowledge of the NHS Talking Therapies (formerly IAPT) model and a willingness to develop the service clinically.
