Job summary

The Pennine Clinical Treatment Team currently have an opportunity for a Band 6 Clinical Treatment Practitioner

12-month fixed term contract/secondment - 30 hours per week

An opportunity has arisen for a Registered Mental Health Nurse, to join the Pennine Clinical Treatment Team. You must be a motivated individual, committed to promoting recovery and well-being for our service users. Excellent communication skills are essential for the role. Previous experience of Clinical Treatment Team work is desirable

This post provides the opportunity for a forward thinking and experienced individual to develop and implement safe, sound and supportive services that embrace the provision of holistic care.

Main duties of the job

To provide the delivery of clinical treatments and monitoring to clients as per policy, guidance and best practice.

To provide nursing activity in the delivery of pharmacological treatments and subsequent patient monitoring for desired outcomes and unwanted side effects. Such treatments include depot medications, lithium carbonate and Clozapine treatment regimes. The work undertaken will include delivery of treatment initiation programmes, which meets expected national standards for this client group.

To oversee and support in the delivery of ECT and work to meet expected accredited standards, in association with medical and anaesthetic colleagues across organisations.

To work in close association with the Clinical Treatment Manager, other clinical treatment practitioners/assistant practitioners and medical and pharmacy colleagues, community team managers, pharmaceutical services including the Clozaril Patient Monitoring Service, staff from The Acute hospital Trusts, medical and nursing staff within primary care to deliver service cohesion and effective interfacing.
