Job summary
Are you an experienced and passionate Registered Mental Health Nurse looking to take the next step in your career? Our 20-bedded mixed-sex acute mental health ward is seeking a motivated Band 6 Clinical Lead to join our leadership team. This is an exciting opportunity to shape high-quality care, influence ward culture, and support a dedicated multidisciplinary team in providing safe, recovery-focused inpatient treatment.
Our acute mental health ward provides short-term, intensive support to adults experiencing a range of complex mental health needs, often during periods of crisis. We offer a therapeutic, trauma-informed environment where relational security, dignity and collaborative care planning underpin everything we do. Our focus is on stabilisation, safety, and supporting individuals to achieve a successful transition back into the community.
Main duties of the job
As a Clinical Lead, you will play a pivotal role in the day-to-day clinical oversight of our ward. You will act as a visible and supportive senior nurse, guiding staff, coordinating shifts, and ensuring that care is delivered safely, compassionately, and in line with best practice. This role is ideal for an experienced Band 5 or existing Band 6 who thrives in a dynamic environment and is committed to making a difference.
