Job summary
An opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 clinical lead nurse Based at WeshamYou must be a motivated individual, committed to promoting recovery and well-being for our service users as part of our multi-disciplinary team. Excellent communication skills are essential for the role. Previous experience of Inpatient care and rehabilitation focused work is desirable.
This post provides the opportunity for a forward thinking and experienced individual to develop and implement safe, sound and supportive services that embrace the provision of holistic care.With a strong emphasis on multidisciplinary working and the principles laid out in the Recovery Model, you will need to be an innovative thinker and be able to form effective relationships.
You must be a registered mental health practitioner, with excellent leadership and clinical skills. You must have some post qualification experience in clinical work with service users experiencing a range of mental health problems.
Main duties of the job
You will be a mental health (MH) practitioner working within a multidisciplinary team and carry out a diverse range of duties.As a Band 6 clinical lead within the team you will be regularly supported and supervised by the team leader, you will be encouraged to take personal responsibility for clinical supervision and your continued professional development plan.
You will actively promote teamwork, respect, integrity, accountability, excellence and compassion within the clinical team in accordance with the Trust values and Code of Conduct. You are required to maintain links with your professional body and provide evidence for the revalidation process.
You will provide support to the nurse leadership within the multidisciplinary team and ensure the effective assessment, formulation, planning and monitoring of care given to service users.
You will exercise professional accountability and responsibility using skills, knowledge and expertise in changing environments, across clinical boundaries and in unfamiliar situations as outlined within the NMC Code of Professional Conduct.
You will work flexibly by covering varying shift to accommodate a 24hour inpatient service.

Specialist provision comprises inpatient child and adolescent mental health services, perinatal mental health and forensic services including low and medium secure care.
