Mental Health Practitioner (RMN/OT/Social Worker)

Job summary

Fixed Term - 10 months - Full Time (37.50 hours)

An opportunity has arisen for a Nurse, Social Worker or Occupational Therapist to join the Blackburn & Darwen Community Mental Health Team.

Blackburn with Darwen Community Mental Health Team are seeking to appoint a Band 5 Community Mental Health Practitioner. As a Band 5 MH practitioner within the team you will be regularly supported and supervised by a nominated Band 6 Nurse and the clinical lead/team leader, you will be encouraged to take personal responsibility for clinical supervision and your continued professional development plan.

You must be a motivated individual, committed to promoting recovery and well-being for our service users as part of our multi-disciplinary team. Excellent communication skills are essential for the role.

Main duties of the job

With a strong emphasis on multidisciplinary working and the principles laid out in the Recovery Model, you will need to be an innovative thinker and be able to form effective relationships.

You must be a registered mental health practitioner, looking to develop your clinical skills and knowledge

You need to be able to work as part of a multidisciplinary team and have experience of planning, implementing and reviewing care needs.

You will also need to have a working knowledge of the care programme approach (CPA), Dialog+, risk assessment and management, and the ability to explore issues relating to the impact of health and social needs on mental health and well-being.
