CYPMH and Child Psychology Lancaster and Morecambe are looking to recruit an appropriately skilled and innovative Primary Mental Health Worker to join a multi-disciplinary team in the development and delivery of Thrive - identifying mental health difficulties at the earliest stage and facilitating the provision of services that promote resilience and enable positive mental health.

Working within the Getting Advice Quadrant 1 of the Thrive Model, in response to the mental health needs of our children and young people, our Primary Mental Health Workers offer advice, guidance, signposting and training to community partners, as well as consultation and short term 1:1 or group intervention for children and young people on a needs-led basis.

Main duties of the job

This is an exciting opportunity for a registered and experienced professional, from a range of backgrounds (nursing, OT, social work) to utilise their skills and experience in working with children, young people and their families. The ideal candidates will have post-qualification experience with an understanding of mental health difficulties as children develop, as well as the ability to work with children, young people and their families, and colleagues from a wide range of professions and organisations. You will be competent to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team. You will be able to advise on, navigate and develop pathways to ensure our children and young people's mental health needs are met at the earliest stage.
