Job summary

We're pleased to offer this apprentice opportunity to join the team at our Community Roots service

These exciting opportunities have arisen for motivated, enthusiastic and empathic people persons to join our Community Roots team across our sites in Preston and Burnley.

You will be supported to gain your apprenticeship qualification, while delivering community focussed health and wellbeing opportunities to our learners. The role holder will bring their own lived experiences of healthcare services, to work alongside a wide range of experts by experience and profession, collaboratively creating and delivering wellbeing opportunities, whilst supporting learners with their individual journeys andcapturing evaluation and research data.

Apprentices will be supported to attend their approved study programme with dedicated off the job learning time. Skills, knowledge and behaviours will then be applied in the workplace as we coproduce a wide range of courses, workshops and groups that promote wellbeing, self-management,prevention and recovery.

Please note the apprentice programme will be delivered by an educationpartner and may be delivered at their centre of learning which we will source as locally as possible.

Applications are encouraged from individuals with demonstrable lived experience of accessing mental or physical health care services in line with our Peer workforce ambitions.

Working pattern (hours): Full time

Hours/sessions per week: 37.5 hours per week

Main duties of the job

  • Answer telephone, email and face to face enquiries, taking and forwarding messages, ensuring that all telephone and personal callers receive a prompt, courteous, non-judgmental and well-informed response.
  • Respond to queries, dealing with routine matters and passing more complex queries to the appropriate member of staff.
  • Support individuals and groups to access wellbeing opportunities.
  • Co-produce and co-deliver wellbeing opportunities.
  • Contribute to administrative functions of learning development and deliveries, to inform data collection and feedback.
  • Attend and participate in team meetings as required as part of the smooth running of the service.
  • Contribute to the development of social media and marketing projects as requested.
  • Develop posters, leaflets and social media imagery to raise awareness of events and opportunities.
  • Work alongside partners to co-develop and support the delivery of learning opportunities.
  • Work alongside service users, staff, wider community to inform the development of opportunities across localities.
  • Undertake promotional activities alone or with colleagues, to raise awareness and uptake to Community Roots opportunities.

About us

The training provider will require evidence of:
