Job summary
LSCFT has a duty of care to ensure that children and adults are safeguarded and protected from a risk of harm and neglect. The LSCFT Safeguarding Teams across Lancashire provide safeguarding leadership, advice and support to staff working across the Trust.
We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic safeguarding administrator to join our team. This vital role supports our commitment to providing safe and effective care.
The post holder will be located within Daisyfield Mill, Blackburn, however they will be required to travel to other locations within the Lancashire & South Cumbria footprint. The post holder will also be required to coordinate their activities with other members of the Safeguarding Administration Team to ensure an efficient and confidential service is provided.
This role is challenging and demanding and requires the post holder to deal with often emotive, sensitive and highly confidential information. The post holder will need to be able to prioritise this information as necessary, liaising with relevant professionals within the Safeguarding Team and partner agencies
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be required to have an experienced administrative background with knowledge of a range of administrative duties and experience of working in an office environment. They will be required to have experience of using Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, MS Teams and Outlook. They will also have a good understanding of Safeguarding administration processes, and experience of minute taking within multi-agency forums.
The post holder will need to be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills, organisational skills, be able to prioritise their workload as well as being enthusiastic and motivated. The post holder will be a team player and have a flexible approach to their work as there may be times when they will be required to provide cover to the other members of the admin team during periods of annual leave and sickness.
