Job summary

We are seeking to appoint a flexible and enthusiastic Treatment Room Clinical Team Leader to join our busy team of nurses in treatment rooms within Blackburn with Darwen based at Barbara Castle Way and Darwen Health Centre. The successful applicant may, on occasions, be required to travel and work in other treatment rooms in other localities should service needs demand.

Applicants must be willing to work flexibly, be able to work well within a team and on their own initiative.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will work as a member of the treatment room nursing team and provide assistance to treatment room staff across Lancashire and South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust under the direction and supervision of the treatment room team coordinator. They will provide a high standard of care to patients as appropriate to treatment room and the services provided therein.

  • Degree or equivalent in field of practice
  • Current professional registration
  • Evidence of commitment to continuing professional development
  • NMP/willingness to undertake.

Knowledge

  • Include where appropriate:- Understanding of clinical governance framework and implications for practice including audit and research
  • In-depth understanding of current NHS/government policy/Public Health/NICE guidelines on organisational change and the ability to adapt these appropriately to local service needs
  • Knowledge and appreciation of lone working risks - policy and procedure.

  • Treatment of a broad range of conditions relating to clinical speciality
  • Demonstrable evidence of improving and developing service and practice
