Job summary

This is an exciting opportunity to join an award winning ward and service, which is based in West Lancashire.

The role of ward manager will be leading a fantastic team of staff on Lathom Ward, at Scarisbrick Inpatient Unit in Ormskirk. We are recruiting a Band 7 Ward Manager to manage a small Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit. The ward hosts 4 males at any one time, who are supported by a full multidisciplinary team.

Main duties of the job

A passionate, empathic, and resilient personality is essential, along with positive and collaborative teamwork skills in order to maintain a safe and positive culture that promotes staff wellbeing, and patient recovery.

The role will be predominantly Monday-Friday 9-5, with some scope for flexibility depending on the needs of the service, and an expectation of occasional unsocial hours to support the 24 hours 7 day week nature of the service.

Sponsorship will be provided for the successful candidate where required.

  • Post reg. learning and development relevant to the role
