Job summary
A great opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated, suitably qualified, confident and forward thinking individual to work as a Senior Nurse within the Chorley inpatient service.
The successful candidate will commit to the Trainee Senior Nurse (TSN) development programme and will be supported through this programme by Senior Nursing Staff, Ward Manager and Practice Development Team. The 6 month TSN programme sets clear development actions and goals to enhance the skills and experience of Registered Nurses, for the benefit of individuals, teams, patient and carer experience.
Main duties of the job
You must be able to provide clinical leadership and motivation to develop the existing staff whilst maintaining high professional standards, demonstrating commitment to staff development and patient care.
You will promote and maintain high standards of care whilst supporting and assisting the Ward Manager to implement local and national strategy and initiatives.
You will need to possess excellent interpersonal skills, have leadership and staff development skills. A strong commitment to your ongoing professional education and development is essential.
The successful post holder will be expected to rotate across the Chorley Wards, meeting the needs of the service, and be able to work shifts covering 24 hours, seven days a week.
