Job summary
Lancashire & South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust Podiatry Services are seeking to employ a highly motivated individual to become part of our growing Podiatry team.
Working under the direction of registered staff, delivering foot health education and advice to a designated caseload of patients across the Lancashire and South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust footprint. The role will also offer opportunities to develop and gain qualifications to progress into a career within Podiatry
You will be required to work across a number of different settings including, community clinics, Health centres, GP clinics and patients' homes.
You must possess good communication skills, self-management skills and be able to adapt to a wide range of clinical scenarios. The position requires the candidate to have a full driving licence and have access to a vehicle.
Previous experience in health care settings is desirable, and you must possess QCF/NVQ Level 3 in Health Care.
We have 2 posts available - 1x 37.5 hours at Leyland Clinic & 1x 22.5 hours at Fulwood Clinic.

Main duties of the job
To work under the direction of the registered Podiatry Team, the post holder will be responsible for working unsupervised, managing a caseload of delegated patients from a location most appropriate for the patient including e.g. patient homes, clinics, secure units, hospitals and GP practices.
Assist with the daily maintenance checks within clinic rooms informing senior staff of any potential hazards or problems.
To aid Podiatrists to promote health and reduce inequalities for individuals, families and communities, optimise opportunities for health promotion and Health Education to enable patients to maximise their potential in terms of health and well-being.
To provide foot health education to patients and their carers as identified within their treatment plan
To participate in the LSCFT PDR review process ensuring business priority objectives are met and a personal development plan is maintained and evaluated.
To be responsible for own continuing professional development.
To undertake mandatory training in line with LSCFT policy and attend updates and study days as appropriate to the post.
