Job summary
Applications will be welcome from clinical psychologists. However, we would also be happy to consider applications, for the 8a, Senior Clinical Psychology post, from trainee clinical psychologists in their final year currently due to complete training in 2023.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Clinical Psychologist, to join a group of similar minded peers, in this new role, helping to shape the Psychology input to meet both the needs of the young people who access our Service and the aspirations of our wider vision as Psychological Professionals.
Within the Learning Disability Service there are a group of Clinical Psychologists working across the child and adults teams, who offer creative and friendly peer support. We all further form a community of Psychological professionals, within LSCFT.
Main duties of the job
As part of the Children's Learning Disability team in the Fylde and Wyre team, the successful candidate would join a well-established, supportive multidisciplinary team. As this role is building on the current Clinical Psychology provision in the area, you would be expected to contribute to the development of this service, within this locality, offering psychological assessment, formulation and intervention with children and young people, and their families/carers. This would be alongside supervision, training, consultation and joint working with psychology and non-psychology colleagues, plus involvement with service development/audit/research.
Training and professional development is supported and encouraged. The Trust/Service also has close links with all three North West Clinical Psychology Doctorate Courses.
Please note: This post is subject to an enhanced DBS Clearance. As part of the pre-employment checks, successful candidates will be required to pay for their own DBS check at a cost of £50. Deductions will be taken from the first 3 months salary.
