Job summary
A rewarding opportunity has arisen to join our Community Mental Health Team within the Blackburn and Darwen locality in Lancashire and South Cumbria Foundation Trust (LSCFT).
We are looking to recruit an experienced, compassionate and highly motivated Support Time and Recovery worker (STRW) to join our team, working as part of the wider Multi-disciplinary team with the Community Mental Health Team.
The successful candidate will be providing both Emotional and Practical support to Service Users working within a recovery focused approach, supporting Key Workers to deliver high quality care.
We are looking for someone who has excellent communication skills who is able to build up a therapeutic relationship with a wide range of Service Users. Main duties of the job
- Promote Independent Living.
- Form positive therapeutic relationships that support service users' own decision- making and build on their own strengths.
- Provide practical support.
- Provide support with daily living.
- Facilitate people living "ordinary lives".
- Help service user's to gain access to resources.
- Provide information on Health Promotion.
- Support service users with involvement/participation in their treatment (including medication support and appropriate attendance).
- Physical health monitoring.
- Support and encourage service users to live independent and full lives.
- Promote social inclusion by; enabling service user's to engage in mainstream activity in the domains of employment/vocation, education, leisure, social networks and community connections.

Lancashire & South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust provides a range of services including secondary mental health care across this area. Specialist provision comprises inpatient child and adolescent mental health services, perinatal mental health and forensic services including low and medium secure care.
