Post: Support Time and Recovery Worker, Acute Therapy Service (ATS)

Location: The Gateway, Seasider's Way. Blackpool FY1 6JX

Band: 3

Salary: £22,816 - £24,336 per annum

Hours / Pattern of work: 37.5 hrs per week; Monday - Friday; 9am - 5pm

Type of contract: Permanent

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full time Band 3 Support Time and Recovery Worker to join our team in the Acute Therapy Service (ATS) based at The Gateway, Seasider's way, Blackpool. We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and reliable worker to support us to continue delivering a psychologically led service that provides an alternative to inpatient admissions and also facilitates early discharge from the inpatient units.

Main duties of the job

The aim of the ATS service is to provide brief structured psychological input, practical, occupational and social support and respite in a safe and containing environment.

The successful post holder will have experience of working in Mental Health Services and the duties will include:

Direct involvement with service users; you will help to provide and facilitate a therapeutic responsive service for adults with mental health difficulties. This will involve supporting them to implement coping strategies learned in the ATS service. You will also be expected to deliver groups and engage service users in social activities, including arts and crafts.

You will receive regular management and clinical supervision, with opportunities to develop clinical and professional practice in line with service user needs and the organisations values.
