Support Time Recovery Worker

Job summary

To assist in the provision of assessment, care and treatment for those with a diagnosis of moderate to severe mental illness who are experiencing a mental health crisis, with a relapse in symptoms and risk to themselves and others, as an alternative to hospital admission, and to facilitate early discharge from psychiatric in-patient settings.

The post holder is expected to contribute and support the day to day functioning of this 24/7 service, and the post holder would have the opportunity to work creatively within the team to meet the demands and needs of the service and the service-users.

The post holder would work without direct supervision on completion of their initial induction programme.

Support to carry out this role would be provided by the management, clinical and staff team.

There is a strong focus on a recovery model and effective risk management to provide quality care in a community setting.

The Fylde Coast Home Treatment Team are always striving towards excellence in service delivery and ensuring that the Trust values are achieved. The successful applicant will be dynamic and forward thinking with the ability to work as part of a Team and in partnership with local services.

There will be an expectation that the successful applicant will also undertake night duty and shift work as part of their role.

Successful applicants will be provided with a full induction and appraisal to formulate a Personal Development Plan and to identify training and development needs.
