Post is based in Central and West Lancashire Specialist Perinatal CMHT (Leyland House, Leyland, with travel across footprint)

Are you an experienced and compassionate parent-infant psychotherapist who is committed to relational working, and who wants to make a positive difference to families and colleagues? If so, then please consider joining us! The Lancashire and South Cumbria SPCMHT Perinatal Service has a reputation for providing kind and expert care to women, their families and babies during the perinatal period (conception up to two years). We are a multidisciplinary service and work closely with partner agencies, including Maternity Services, Health Visiting, Adult Mental Health Services and the Reproductive Trauma Service.
In order to meet ambitions set out in the NHS Long-Term Plan for Mental Health, we are expanding our psychological workforce to include greater access to parent-infant interventions. We therefore have a really exciting opportunity for two Parent-Infant Psychotherapists to join our service.
Main duties of the job
You would be well supported, and work closely with our Lead Parent Infant Psychotherapist, our Consultant Clinical Psychologist, therapy colleagues and the wider MDT. You will help to help shape and deliver our parent infant-pathways and ensure baby is at the heart of our work.
You will have the opportunity to influence clinical care at every level, from holding a varied clinical caseload, to offering consultation, supervision and training, to playing a key role in service development and quality improvement work.

Specialist provision comprises inpatient child and adolescent mental health services, perinatal mental health and forensic services including low and medium secure care.
