Job summary
- To provide high quality primary care IAPT services to adults with mild to moderate mental health problems.
- To work autonomously within professional guidelines and the overall framework of team policies and procedure.
- To deliver IAPT services in accordance with NICE guidelines, within agreed activity levels and model, meeting required key performance indicators (KPIs).
- To provide advice and consultation on client's care, to other clinicians and to non-professional carers.
- To promote wellbeing and social inclusion.
- To work flexibly and in accordance with service demands. This may include support or clinical supervision of band 4 practitioners where appropriate.
- To work to the agreed number of clinical contacts per week as set by the Team Lead
Main duties of the job
Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners (PWP) to work for LSCFT NHS Talking Therapies within the Fylde and Wyre locality.
Only applicants with a recognised PG Cert in Primary care mental health practice (IAPT) or BSc(hons) Counselling, Coaching and Psychological Interventions (PWP) will be shortlisted for interview.
Based in Fleetwood and required to work in clinics spanning the Fylde and Wyre area.
We offer lots of flexible options such as hybrid working (working from home and in clinic) and also flexible working hours.
We deliver therapy via telephone, face to face, on video and online therapy platforms.
NHS Talking Therapies PWP's offer accessible screening, assessment and treatment for common mental health problems. We like to make sure we offer a variety of options as one size does not fit all.
Not only are we a flexible service for those accessing us as we run groups, offer telephone, video online (Attend Anywhere) and face-to-face treatment sessions. We offer a flexible Hybrid working model to staff consisting of days from home and clinics within a variety of community settings including the office.
PWPs also have an important link role developing relationships with local GP practices and advocating health promotion within the wider community.
As part of the role you will be expected to work flexibly to meet the needs of the service. This may include early morning and late evening appointments as well as the possibility of working some Saturday mornings.
