An exciting opportunity has arisen to provide fixed-term maternity leave cover, until the end of March 2023, for the substantive Network Associate Director for Psychological Professions within the Fylde Coast.
The Associate Director for Psychological Professions is an integral role within the Network Senior Leadership Team working alongside the Fylde Coast's Senior Operational, Nursing & Medical Network Directors, together with Allied Health Professionals, Pharmacy and Social Care leads. You will be required to cover the duties of the substantive postholder, including providing professional leadership, acting as a motivator and catalyst for good practice. You will also work closely with other senior leaders and managers internally and externally, as required. The role is responsible to the Director of Nursing and professionally accountable to the Director for Psychological Professions.
The successful candidates will have experience of providing expert clinical supervision and consultation. You will be able to demonstrate knowledge and experience of a variety of models of consultation and have knowledge and experience of a number of different psychological and therapeutic modalities
Main duties of the job
The post holder will take responsibility for continuing the leadership of a Professional Network (Locality) Forum which will encompass all psychological services and therapists within the Network. This will enable and support the pooling, development, sharing and retention of psychological knowledge and skills, strategic planning for the profession,professional & clinical governance and a clear identity for psychological services and therapies. It will facilitate co-ordination of clinical supervision and training placements and support recruitment, professional self-regulation and continuing professional development.
Attendance at other senior psychological professional forums is also required.
It is also expected that the post-holder will retain a clinical caseload alongside professional leadership duties. Clinical supervision will be provided within the Trust where appropriate expertise exists. For any specialist supervision requirements for which suitable supervisioncannot be sourced internally, the Trust is willing to support external supervision costs.
