Consultant Psychiatrist - Older Adult Psychiatry, RITT/Inpatient (10PA)

This post is eligible for a 5% payment of basic salary payable over 2 years

We are excited to advertise this new post in Older Adult Psychiatry, which combines both community and inpatient work. The post is substantive and full time (10 PAs) and would be based at Charnley Fold in Bamber Bridge.

Main duties of the job

The post is split equally between community and inpatient work. The community element of the post is with the Chorley and South Ribble RITT, based at Charnley Fold in Bamber Bridge. The inpatient element is based at the new, 11 bedded Skylark Unit, located at Royal Preston Hospital, where you would share responsibility with another Consultant Psychiatrist.

The successful candidate will be expected to participate on the Consultant On Call rota, for which additional remuneration will be paid.

Applicants should hold full GMC registration and be included on the Specialist register of the GMC or they should be eligible for entry to the Specialist Register within 6 months of the interview date.

It is a requirement that applicants are Section 12 Approved at the time of commencing employment and have or are eligible to have Approved Clinician Status. Remuneration will be as set out in the terms of the New Consultant Contract according to previous experience.
