THIS POST IS ELIGIBLE FOR A RECRUITMENT PREMIUM OF 5% OF BASIC SALARY PAYABLE OVER 2 YEARS

Following the retirement of the current post holder, we are looking to recruit a Consultant Psychiatrist in Old Age Psychiatry to work with South Cumbria Memory and Later Life Services.

Main duties of the job

The post is a full time, substantive community post (10 PAs) with additional on call remuneration, based at Furness General Hospital and covering the beautiful South Lakeland area.

You will be part of the Consultant On Call rota, for which there is additional remuneration including additional programmed activity and a currently a 5% availability supplement.

Applicants should hold full GMC registration and be included on the Specialist register of the GMC or they should be eligible for entry to the Specialist Register within 6 months of the interview date.

It is a requirement that applicants are Section 12 Approved at the time of commencing employment and have or are eligible to have Approved Clinician Status. Remuneration will be as set out in the terms of the New Consultant Contract according to previous experience.
