The Integrated CAMHS/Child Psychology Teams across Lancashire have a vacancy for a Mental Health Practitioner as part of new investment within the service. We are now offering a 7 day service to young people and are looking to recruit an experienced, enthusiastic and committed person to join the team.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team providing high quality assessments and clinical interventions with children, young people and their parents/carers referred to our service. You will contribute to the business aims of the service through joint working, consultation, and training. You will be expected to participate in ongoing PDR's, supervision and complete all required mandatory training. Whilst having the opportunity to work with a variety of presentations the successful candidate will have experience and interest in providing assessments and ongoing support for people who self-harm or present as high risk and will be part of a duty team providing assessments and ongoing support as required for young people referred by the local acute hospital.
Applications are invited from those with a professional qualification e.g.Registered Nurses, Social Workers and Occupational Therapists who have experience of working with young people experiencing mental health issues. The post is full time (37.5 hours per week) and will include working some weekends, bank holidays and possible evenings in the future. The post is subject to enhanced DBS clearance.
