Job summary
There is currently an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and self-motivated BABCP Accredited Cognitive Behavioural Therapist to work for Mindsmatter Improving Access to Psychological Therapy (IAPT) Service within the Preston locality.
The Mindsmatter service have dedicated teams of Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners (PWPs), Cognitive Behavioural Therapists and Counsellors who offer a range of support to help people make positive changes to reduce stress and anxiety and improve their wellbeing.
Applicants who do not hold full BABCP Accreditation will not be considered.
Main duties of the job
Mindsmatter CBT Therapists offer accessible screening, assessment and treatment for mild to moderate mental health problems, giving service users a greater degree of choice and flexibility. The service offers 1:1 therapy as well as an extensive menu of therapies including psycho-education courses, group CBT, online therapy options and computerised CBT programmes
You will have a proven record of accomplishment in delivering high quality therapeutic service and have excellent interpersonal qualities; time management skills; an ability to work autonomously; and an enthusiasm for working in an ever-developing IAPT environment.

- Highly developed specialist knowledge of the theory and practice of cognitive behaviour therapy.
- Extensive theoretical and clinical Knowledge of the theory and practice of Cognitive Behaviour Therapy in specific difficult to treat groups (e.g. personality disorder, dual diagnoses, people with additional disabilities etc.). and disorder specific models
- Knowledge of the IAPT model and a willingness to develop the service clinically.
- An understanding of the key performance indicators in IAPT services and how they relate to clinical practice.
