Job summary

To work as part of the Children and Family Health Service and to provide strong clinical leadership and supervision to an integrated 0 -19 skill mixed team.

To provide family centred, evidence based public health service that promotes and improves health and addresses inequalities to a defined caseload, population or community. This will be achieved through delivery of the model of health visiting at a community, universal, universal plus and universal partnership plus level. The role will promote safeguarding and effective risk management of children, young people and families.

Main duties of the job

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated Health Visitor with initiative and drive who are keen to contribute to the further development of our service and to work as part of the integrated 0-19 Children & Family Health Service within the Blackburn & Darwen area to deliver the Healthy Child Programme.

You need to have excellent communication skills, be very organised and be willing to facilitate and support change in service delivery. You will need to have the ability to work autonomously and as part of an integrated skill mix team.

This vacancy is Fixed Term until 14/1/2022 Health Visitor Post to cover maternity leave working 22.5 hours per week based at Audley and Queens Park Childrens Centre, Pringle Street, Blackburn.
