Job summary

The organisation is undergoing real transformational change on a journey of improvement, continuing a focus on CQC governance and regulatory compliance along with implementing refreshed governance arrangements.

These new roles within the newly established locality networks provide an opportunity for experienced governance managers to be an integral senior professional lead, providing expertise in the field of quality and clinical governance.

You will be a team member of the Trusts Governance Department within the Directorate of Compliance and Improvement and will report directly and liaise with the Associate Director of Governance. Aligned to one of the five localities, you will be required to work across sites, providing support and guidance to clinicians and managers in all aspects of quality, patient safety and governance.

Main duties of the job

You will be able to promote your skills and experience in supporting and nurturing staff to deliver the highest quality of care and embrace the challenge that the role provides. Experience of working collaboratively with senior clinicians and managers with a proven ability to deliver on non-negotiable deadlines is essential. You will be a positive influencer with a strong commitment to work as a team with the other Locality Governance Managers and the locality senior management teams. You will actively share learning and deliver against the wide and varied requirements of the post.

The role involves contributing to and leading on the preparation of formal reports on all aspects of quality, safety and governance, proficient in analysing and presenting complex and sensitive data.
