Consultant Psychiatrist Moving on Rehabilitation Service 10.5 PAs (including on call)

Preston, Lancashire

Lancashire & South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust are opening a new Moving on Rehabilitation Service based in the heart of Lancashire and we are looking for a dynamic consultant who can clinically lead a transformed service.

As a result of new investment, we have redesigned our rehabilitation pathways to develop new services in inpatients along with community & recovery services. The service will actively promote community rehabilitation, recovery and social inclusion.

Main duties of the job

You will work with an MDT on the 11 bedded inpatient unit as part of a leadership team to improve the care of patients. You will provide senior expertise in the assessment, treatment and rehabilitation of patients admitted to the service, as well as providing specialist assessment and advice to colleagues working on the acute admission wards.

Its also an exciting time to be joining LSCFT as we are expanding our Medical Leadership positions in areas such as suicide prevention, GIRFT, research and Mental Health Law. We also have an extremely active Medical Education department and support our Consultants in becoming Clinical Supervisors and nurturing their interests in this area.
