Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced HCPC registered band 7 Dietitian to join the East All Age Eating Disorder Team. The permanent post will be based at Pendle House in Nelson, however, flexibility to work and travel around the area is required. We offer a mentoring and clinical supervision programme with an experienced clinician for those new to community work.

Our vision is to be a service that provides non-judgmental timely support for all ages. We are looking for a professional who will provide a high quality, evidence based up to date nutrition and dietetic service to community services, with the focus on providing dietetic support to young people and adults with eating disorders.

Main duties of the job

Your role will involve the assessment and implementation of care plans for patients in their own home, care homes and community locations including community hospitals. Assist in the training of health care professionals and carers and maintenance of IT systems that support patient care.

The post holder will work within the multi-disciplinary team setting to deliver a specialised dietetic service to the East team. The MDT includes clinical psychologists, psychiatrists, mental health nurses, CBT therapists, family therapists, and admin.

  • Honours Degree or equivalent in Nutrition and Dietetics approved by the BDA/Health Professions Council.
  • Health Professions Council registered Dietitian.
  • Evidence of relevant post graduate specialist clinical education at post graduate level or equivalent and /or equivalent experience.
