We are looking to recruit a substantive Consultant Psychiatrist in General Adult Psychiatry to join our well established Community Mental Health Team in the Preston area of Lancashire. This full time, 10.5 PA role would be based at West Strand in Preston. The role will involve working with one sector of the Preston Community Mental Health Team and managing a small number of inpatient beds at our nearby inpatient facility.
Main duties of the job
This post is one of four CMHT GA Consultant Psychiatrist posts within Preston CMHT. This locality operates on a sector based model of care and Community based consultants retain responsibility for their sectors inpatient beds at The Harbour inpatient unit in Blackpool.
Applicants should hold full GMC registration and be included on the Specialist register of the GMC or they should be eligible for entry to the Specialist Register within 6 months of the interview date.
It is a requirement that applicants are Section 12 Approved at the time of commencing employment and have or are eligible to have Approved Clinician Status. Remuneration will be as set out in the terms of the New Consultant Contract according to previous experience.
