We are looking for a dynamic, innovative & passionate Clinical Team Manager to work within the Cheshire & Merseyside Specialist Perinatal and Maternal Mental Health Service (C&M SPMMHS) leading our Mid-Mersey Specialist Perinatal Team, MM SPT, supporting our communities in Knowsley, St Helens, Warrington & Halton)
C&M SPMMHS is jointly provided by Mersey Care NHS Foundation Trust (MCFT) and Cheshire and Wirral Partnership NHS Foundation Trust (CWP), providing specialist assessment and treatment to mums, birthing people, babies, and families from pregnancy through to 24 months. MMHS has a focus on perinatal loss and trauma.
Perinatal Mental Health (PMH) care remains a national priority, the post holder will play a pivotal role in the operations and clinical support of the team alongside supporting transformation and ensuring equitable, safe, and quality care, achieving clinical excellence.
The post holder will promote effective relationships with a range of key partners and stakeholders by working collaboratively to ensure servicers are fit for purpose in meeting the needs of the community now and into the future, across the whole spectrum of perinatal need and delivering the ambitions of the PMH Long Term Plan (PMH LTP).
The post holder will be responsive to the evolving and changing needs of the population, the workforce, and the NHS. Utilising a dynamic and pragmatic approach to problem solve and consider the best approach & solutions to complex matters.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will carry managerial responsibility for Children, Young People and Families (CYP&F) Cheshire & Merseyside (C&M) Specialist Perinatal and Maternal Mental Health Service's (SPMMHS) withinthe Community Care Division and be responsible for the overall standards which will include referral management and access, assessment of need and delivery of care within SPMMHS.
The post holder will operate as part of an integrated multi-disciplinary team and be flexible in terms of travel to undertake duties.
The post-holder carries continuing responsibility for the assessment of care needs, the development, implementation and evaluation of programmes of care, and the setting of standards of care within that team.
The post holder will be aligned to CYP&F SPMMHS and may be required to work flexibly across all divisional sites to provide response to the service needs of the physical and mental health clinical teams providing cover as directed by the Service Manager to ensure continuity of a quality service provision.
