Job summary
Hope Centre is a 17 bedded inpatient ward which specialises in detoxing patients from Class A substances and Alcohol. This is achieved with psychosocial and pharmaceutical interventions.
Main duties of the job
We are looking to recruit enthusiastic, hard working employees who are committed to supporting patients within a recovery focused environment.
The role will entail supporting nursing staff in the daily running of the ward by providing care and support to patients.

To assist in the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of programmes of care for service users, including health care assessments under the direction and supervision of qualified members of staff.
To assist in the facilitation of medical review clinics, under the direction of qualified members of staff.
Contribute towards reports required by managers or external agencies, for example child care conferences or court reports.
Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team in a non-judgemental way.
Assist in the facilitation of group work with service users, under the direction and supervision of qualified members of staff.
Participate in and perform clinical investigations under supervision of qualified members of staff.

- NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Health & Social Care or commitment to work towards
Desirable
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Health & Social Care or commitment to work towards
- Phlebotomy trained
- MEWS
- Level 2 Smoking Cessation
Knowledge/ Experience
Essential
- Experience in drug/alcohol field either through employment in drugs/alcohol agency or in a voluntary capacity
Desirable
- Previous experience of community working
- Awareness of safeguarding children and adults
Skills
Essential
- Able to communicate effectively, both verbal and written
- Computer skills
- Understanding the issues of confidentiality
- Ability to work as a member of a team
- Ability to use own initiative whilst having an awareness of limitations of role
