Job summary
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a new service development in Cheshire and Merseyside working alongside key stakeholders and partner agencies to enhance community provision for people who are autistic or who have a learning disability.
You will provide high quality consultation, specialist assessment and intervention of speech, language and communication needs, to deliver effective, person centred clinical services for people who have come into contact or are at risk of contact with the criminal justice agencies.
Main duties of the job
The Specialist Community Forensic Team is a multi-disciplinary team consisting of nursing, speech and language therapy, occupational therapy, social work, psychology and psychiatry. You will be expected to work in all areas of Cheshire and Merseyside and liaise with a number of partner agencies including health, social care and the Criminal Justice agencies to develop proactive and preventative risk mitigation support. You will be required to work primarily 9-5, Monday to Friday.

- Completion of a recognised training course awarding relevant degree / diploma approved by the RCSLT and HPC
- Registration with HCP
- Evidence of successful completion of specialist short courses up to Master's level or equivalent

- Post graduate certificate in a speciality
- Member of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists
